Mr. Alexander Andries

I am Alexander, my friends call me Alex. I am from Belgium and arrived in Thailand, Bangkok in October 1997 as a tour guide for the Belgian Tour Operator Best tours.

After a couple of months, the company sent me to Koh Samui where I met my fiancee Ti after a couple of weeks. I fell in love with Ti and the island of Koh Samui a the same time!

After 2 years Ti’s family proposed us to take over the family guests house that we renamed Zazen Boutique Resort & Spa in which we have been working in for the last 15 years. From a small lovely 14 bamboo huts little guests house it became the charming Award Wining Boutique Resort that you know today. Through the years together with our wonderful teams, we have dedicated all our time to the discerning travelers visiting koh Samui and staying with us, making sure they were feeling happy and were enjoying their holiday at Zazen.

Numerous of them, also fell in love with Zazen and Koh Samui. They were asking us to help them find a piece of land and build a house, then finding furniture which we all did several times with pleasure in order to welcome them part of the year on the island. Then, came the time when our close friend, Patrick Balmer was willing to move back to the island. At the same time, the requests of our guests were becoming more regular and important… so we couldn’t follow with our daily work at the hotel and pleasing them. That’s how together with Patrick, we decided to help & serve our guests willing to invest in Samui in a more professional way. And this is how Century 21 Zazen Properties was born. Out of a local family welcoming tourists to the island for more than 40 years and 3 long time friends joining hands in order to help, in a professional way, guests willing to invest and to live on the beautiful island of Koh Samui!
